How often do I have to pay $300 for this website?
The $300 is a one-time setup fee. You will never have to pay it again.
What is website hosting?
Every website in the world has to be hosted somewhere. This means that all of the electronic files that make up your website reside on a special computer server so that any time of the day or night, people can access your website from the server. They are not trying to access your personal computer. You can think of your hosting fees as being like renting space on the computer server.
What do you charge for hosting and what does it include?
The fee for hosting is $20.00 per month. It includes the following:
- Greater than 99.9% up time, so your site is available with extreme reliability
- Up to 5,000 MB of disk space, so you have tons of space for your files
- Up to 50,000 MB of bandwidth/transfer so you can have tons of traffic on your site
- An unlimited number of email accounts
- Free technical support
- 24 hour emergency coverage
- Free traffic statistics so you can see how many people are visiting your site
Can we host the site with some other company?
No, the insurance agent website template requires our hosting since includes a content management system that is installed on the server.
What is a content management system?
It is a system that allows you to update the text on your site anytime you want without paying webmaster fees or worrying about messing up your website.
How do I use the content management system?
Once we have set up your website, we'll send you your login information and instructions. You can also find great information on our "How To" Resource Library page.
Can I use the content management system to update the Meta tags (keywords and descriptions) in the background coding of the site?
No, the content management system isn't set up for that. However, we will set the Meta tags up for you when we set up the rest of the site. If you'd like to change to a different set of Meta tags, we will change them for you for free one time. We can also help you with any future changes to the meta tags for $22.50 any time you'd like to change them again.
Will you register my site with search engines?
Yes. Each time we set up a site, we will hand-submit the site to Google. Keep in mind that there is a lot of competition out there for insurance agents, so we cannot guarantee how your site will rank with search engines. Instead, we recommend you use your site as a business tool to showcase your information and professionalism to your current leads rather than rely on search engine results to increase your business.
I am ready to get my insurance agent website. What do I do now?
The next step is to fill out the signup form so we'll have all your contact information, etc.
How should I pay the $300 setup fee?
We have several options available:
- AUTO DRAFT (Preferred) - Our preferred payment option is to draft any bank account, similar to a debit card. All we need is for you to fax in the debit authorization form to pay with this method.
- CREDIT CARD / PAYPAY – Another method is to pay via PayPal. This will allow you to use any credit card.
- MAILED CHECK – Mailing a check is the slowest option, of course, but it is still perfectly acceptable. Please make checks out to Griffin Web Design, P.O. Box 329, Sunny Side, GA 30284.
How do I pay you the $20 for hosting each month?
The same payment methods above are available for monthly hosting fees.
- AUTO DRAFT (Preferred) - If you choose the auto draft option, your hosting fee will be drafted from your account on the fifth of each calendar month (or the next business day if it falls on a weekend or holiday).
- CREDIT CARD / PAYPAL – If PayPal is your preferred payment method, simply click on the button to the right to set up a regular subscription payment for your hosting fees. The first $20 will be paid right away, and the future payments will be paid automatically the same day of the month.
- INVOICING – Although it is the slowest option, we don't mind mailing invoices to you each month.
How long does it take to get the insurance agent website?
Once we have your signup form and your $300 setup fee, your website should be complete within five business days.
